Flower beds, planting and mulch in Athens, AL
A good bed is the difference between a house and a home from the street. We clear out what is tired, redraw the edge, pick plants that will actually live in clay and full sun, and mulch it so it holds up. Front beds, mailbox beds, around the patio, along the fence.
from $450
Why beds here struggle
Builder beds are usually a row of the same shrub in six inches of clay with a bag of mulch on top. Half of it dies the first August and the rest grows into the windows. We pull what is dead, loosen and amend the soil, space plants for the size they will be in five years, and choose things that like it here.
